The "Zombie Attack Survival Guide" was a helpful look at survival techniques, but their description of Zombies was insufficient. Their virus had far too long an incubation period to make them real threats. And they completely dismissed any possibility of supernatural aspect. RIDICULOUS! No virus could rewrite the laws of biochemistry.

The 28 Days Later virus was more frightening, with it's fast infection rate and speedy zombies. But there would have been almost zero chance of them getting outside the Isle of Britain.

George Romero's zombie movies were frightening because every dead body animated, quickly outnumbering live humans. The bites were deadly because of natural bacteria present in a dead body.

Voudun zombies are harder to kill, since they are not brain-dependent and a head shot wont stop them. And the animating spirit nay make more intelligent or stronger. But the rituals needed to make them take time, so their numbers would be smaller.
